The Graduate Entrance Research Scholarship at the University of Northern British Columbia supports high-achieving students entering research-based Master’s or Doctoral programs for the first time.

Eligibility Criteria for the Graduate Entrance Research Scholarship at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026:

• Applicants must be full-time students entering a Master’s or Doctoral program at UNBC for the first time.
• Applicants must intend to enrol in a dissertation, thesis, or project-based program.
• Applicants must have a Graduate Admission GPA of 3.67 or higher.
• Applicants must demonstrate alignment with UNBC’s research priorities.
• Applicants must apply for admission by the first application deadline.

Application Process for the Graduate Entrance Research Scholarship at the University of Northern British Columbia 2026:

• No separate scholarship application is required.
• Eligible students are assessed and nominated by the Faculty where their program is based.

Value:  CAD 17,500 for one year - 25 awards available.
