Chevening Scholarships constitute the UK government's international scholarship initiative, generously supported by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in collaboration with partner entities. This program provides grants to exceptional scholars possessing leadership capabilities internationally, enabling them to pursue a master's degree in any discipline at any university within the United Kingdom.
Eligibility Criteria for Chevening Scholarships 2026:
Applicants must:
- Be citizens of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
- Commit to return to their home country for at least two years after the scholarship ends.
- Hold an undergraduate degree that qualifies them for admission to a UK master’s programme.
- Have a minimum of 2,800 hours of professional work experience after graduation (about 2 years).
- Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and receive at least one unconditional offer by the deadline specified in the application timeline.
- Not hold British or dual British citizenship (with limited exceptions).
