Global Governance Doctoral Fellowship at University of Waterloo 2026

Eligibility Criteria for Global Governance Doctoral Fellowship:

Applicants must:

• Be full-time graduate students in the first year of the PhD Global Governance program.
• Be enrolled in the Faculty of Arts or Faculty of Environment at University of Waterloo.
• Have a minimum cumulative academic average of 80% or equivalent over the last two full-time academic years.
• Maintain continuous registration and satisfactory academic performance to continue receiving the fellowship in subsequent terms.
• Be eligible as Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or international students with a valid study permit.

Value of Global Governance Doctoral Fellowship:

The fellowship provides annual funding ranging from CAD $25,000 to CAD $35,000.

Application Process:

• No separate application is required.
• Students are automatically considered through their admission application to the PhD Global Governance program.
