History Research Support Scholarship at University College Cork 2026

Introduction 

The Irish Research Council (IRC) Postgraduate Scholarships, also known as the Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship Programme, are prestigious national research awards funded by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science and managed by the Irish Research Council.

Eligibility requirements for the Irish Research Council (IRC) Postgraduate Scholarships at the University College Cork:

• Applicants must be registered full-time research students for 2026/27.
• The scholarship is open to appropriately registered PhD and MPhil students in the School of History.
• Recipients will normally have a first-class honors primary degree or equivalent.
