Gandel Scholarships
The Gandel Scholarships support high-achieving students with leadership potential who have experienced educational disadvantage and wish to contribute to the community.
Eligibility criteria -
- The applicant must be an Australian citizen or a New Zealand citizen with an Australian permanent resident or an Australian humanitarian visa holder
- They must be commencing Year 12 students enrolling in an undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia and participate as an Access Monash Mentor each year, beginning in their second year of study.
- They must be experiencing financial hardship.
- Have a minimum ATAR score or equivalent of 85.00
Application process -
- The applicants must also surpass all the requirements set by the university.
Award -
- $6000 per annum, for up to four years.
- Students who live on-campus for their first year of study will receive accommodation fees of up to $6000 paid directly to Monash Residential Services (MRS) for one year only.
- $2500 global grant for overseas study and an invitation to take part in Monash Minds, a leadership program for first year students.
