Outstanding Athletes Entrance Scholarship (OAES) for Non-Local Students at City University of Hong Kong 2026

The Outstanding Athletes Entrance Scholarship (OAES) is designed to attract exceptional student-athletes from outside Hong Kong to study at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK). The scholarship aims to offer opportunities to high-performing international athletes and enhance the performance of the university's sports teams.

Eligibility Criteria for the Scholarship:

• Applicants must demonstrate high-level sports achievements and performance.
• Applicants must maintain a CGPA of 2.5 or higher (undergraduate students) for scholarship renewal.
• The scheme is specifically aimed at non-local students, which means international student-athletes are eligible.
• This scheme supports CityUHK's mission of fostering both academic and athletic excellence while also improving the competitiveness of its sports teams.

Undergraduate Program:

• The scholarship covers full tuition fees for a maximum of four years, provided the student maintains satisfactory sports performance and a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5 or above.
• A residence scholarship is also provided and can be renewed annually, based on the same criteria (sports performance and CGPA).

Master's Program:

• The scholarship provides coverage of full or partial tuition fees up to HK$250,000 (approximately US$32,050) for one year only.
• Any leftover scholarship funds after tuition fees are paid will be deposited into the candidate's bank account.
• The residence scholarship is not available to master's students, and they will need to secure accommodation off-campus.
