Engineering For Development (E4D) Doctoral Scholarships, 2022 promote research projects, which generate a direct impact for underprivileged people living in countries on the OECD DAC-list. 

Eligibility for Engineering For Development (E4D) Doctoral Scholarships, 2022:

• The general entrance requirements for doctoral studies at the ETH Zurich and at the respective department must be fulfilled.
• Experience in the selected research area is required.
• Preference will be given to citizens of Least Developed Countries and other LowIncome Countries according to the OECD DAC-list classification.

• Relevant own publications or documentation of relevant activities relating to the project

Value of Engineering For Development (E4D) Doctoral Scholarships, 2022:

• The grant sum for Engineering For Development (E4D) Doctoral Scholarships, 2022 is 175,000 CHF to cover the salary costs of doctoral students for three years.  

Note: The subject of the proposed research is the development of methods, technologies, tools or products, which generate a direct impact on underprivileged people in low-income countries. Only candidates with the support of an ETH professor are eligible to apply.
