Dr. Martha H. Rusnak Endowed Scholarship

Lewis University offers the Dr. Martha H. Rusnak Endowed Scholarship to degree-seeking students enrolled in one of the Department of Education graduate programs in Reading & Literacy leading to a Master of Education (M.Ed.) or Master of Arts (M.A.) degree.

Eligibility Criteria for the Dr. Martha H. Rusnak Endowed Scholarship:

• Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5.
• Scholarship awards must be used in full during the Fall or Spring semester.
• Applicants must be admitted and enrolled as degree-seeking students in one of the Department of Education graduate programs in Reading & Literacy leading to an M.Ed. or M.A. degree.
• Applicants must have completed at least 6 graduate credit hours by the end of the semester in which they submit the application.
• Applicants must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours per semester.

• Apply online through the Lewis University scholarship portal.
  
• Submit a 500–800-word essay discussing the responsibility of reading professionals to support learners' literacy development, motivate learners to become lifelong readers, and advocate for all learners through anti-racist and inclusive literacy practices.
  
• Shortlisted applicants may be invited to attend an interview.
