Distinguished Young Women of Mississippi Program Scholarship at Mississippi State University 2025

Eligibility Criteria for Distinguished Young Women of Mississippi Program Scholarship at Mississippi State University 2024:

For Local Winners:

• Be entering freshmen at MSU.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (from 9th to 11th grade).
• Be local winners of the Mississippi Distinguished Young Women Program.
• Submit the General Scholarship Application.
• Submit the Distinguished Young Women's Scholarship Application via MSU’s scholarship portal.
• Provide the name and email of the local chairperson of their county’s DYW program for placement verification.

For Overall State Winners:

• Be either entering freshmen, transfer students, or current MSU students.
• Be a Mississippi resident.
• Be the overall state winner of the Mississippi DYW Program.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 (9th–11th grade for freshmen; overall GPA for current/transfer students).
• Submit the General Scholarship Application.
• Submit the Distinguished Young Women's Scholarship Application via MSU’s scholarship portal.
• Provide the name and email of their local DYW chairperson to verify their placement.

Value of Distinguished Young Women of Mississippi Program Scholarship at Mississippi State University 2024:

Local Winners:

• Amount: $1,000 total.
• Duration: One year.
• Disbursement: Split evenly over two semesters during the student's first year at MSU.

Overall State Winner:

• Amount: Covers full tuition (based on standard 12–16 credit hours).
• Duration: Up to four years (8 semesters) for new students.

Application Process:

• Apply for admission to Mississippi State University.
• Complete the General Scholarship Application in the MSU scholarship portal.
• Submit the Distinguished Young Women's Scholarship Application in the same portal.
