Craig Buck Andrews PhD Scholarship in Financial Reporting & Financial Management at Victoria University of Wellington 

The Craig Buck Andrews PhD Scholarship in Financial Reporting and Financial Management, established by the late Craig Andrews through the Victoria University of Wellington Foundation, supports research aimed at strengthening financial reporting and management in developing countries. The scholarship reflects Andrews’ experience on World Bank projects and his commitment to promoting economic and social development.

Eligibility Criteria of Craig Buck Andrews PhD Scholarship in Financial Reporting & Financial Management: 

1. Applicants must be enrolled in the School of Accounting and Commercial Law at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, pursuing a PhD focused on financial reporting and/or financial management in developing countries, with research contributing to capacity building in primary or concessionable industries.
2. Preference is given to students from developing countries who plan to return home after completing their PhD.

Selection Criteria: 

1. Applicants must be intending to enrol in a PhD in the School of Accounting and Commercial Law at Victoria University of Wellington.
2. Applicants must be intending to complete a PhD thesis on the topics of financial reporting and/or financial management in developing countries.

Application Process: Applicants must meet Victoria University of Wellington’s doctoral entry requirements and apply online for admission and the Craig Buck Andrews PhD Scholarship, providing any relevant documentation such as evidence of financial hardship, personal statements, or references to support their application.

Award: NZD 105,000 (upto NZD 35,000 p.a. for three years).
