Carmeta Thelma Hodges Western Continuing Admission Scholarship of Excellence for Black Students at Western University 2026

Western University offers the Carmeta Thelma Hodges Western Continuing Admission Scholarship of Excellence for Black Students to recognize outstanding Black students graduating from secondary school and entering their first year of undergraduate study at Western.

The scholarship is designed to support high-achieving students as they begin their undergraduate education and continue their studies at Western.

Eligibility for the Carmeta Thelma Hodges Western Continuing Admission Scholarship of Excellence for Black Students at Western University 2026:

• Applicants must be entering the first year of an undergraduate program directly from high school.
• Applicants must identify as Black students and complete the required self-identification.
• Applicants must demonstrate a strong admission average, with selection based on the highest admission averages.
• Applicants must not have previously attended a post-secondary institution.
• Applicants must meet the admission requirements for their selected undergraduate program.

Application Process for the Carmeta Thelma Hodges Western Continuing Admission Scholarship of Excellence for Black Students at Western University 2026:

• Applicants must apply for admission to an eligible undergraduate program at Western University.
• Applicants must complete the Black student self-identification to be considered for the scholarship.
• Applicants are assessed based on their admission average, and no separate scholarship application is required.

Value: 10 scholarships at CAD 6,000 each

•  CAD 6,000 per year for up to 4 years, plus an additional CAD 2,000 for an optional study-abroad experience.
