C V Raman Post-Doctoral Position and the Institution of Eminence Post-Doctoral Position at IISc 2024

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) has been recognized as an Institution of Eminence (IoE) by the Government of India. As a part of the IoE initiative, IISc has created the Raman Post-Doc Program, a highly selective Post-Doc program with 50 positions. In addition, IISc also has a vibrant Institution of Eminence (IoE) Post-Doc program. The Institute invites applications for intensely motivated individuals with an established record of high-quality research, for the positions of Raman Post-Docs and IoE Post-Docs. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals are also eligible to apply.

Eligibility for the C V Raman Post-Doctoral Position and the Institution of Eminence Post-Doctoral Position at IISc: 

• Applicants must be overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals.
• Foreign students are eligible to apply only for a Ph.D. program or an M.Sc.(Engg) program. They are NOT eligible to apply for an integrated Ph.D. program, ME/MTech program, undergraduate program, etc.
• For Ph.D. program: A master's degree or a four-year undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline.
• For M.Sc.(Engineering) program: A four-year undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline.

• An application for being considered for the advertised position can be made in the prescribed form (fillable pdf file).
• In the fillable pdf file, the candidate should indicate whether the application is only for the C V Raman Post-Doc position, the IoE Post-Doc position, or both.
• The Institute reserves the right to screen and call only such candidates for an interview as are found suitable. Thus, just fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria would not entitle one to be selected.
