Brian and Jane McMillan Bursary for Graduates of Adult Education at Holland College 2026

Introduction: 

The Brian and Jane McMillan Bursary for Graduates of Adult Education was established through the Holland College Foundation’s Brian McMillan Legacy Fund to recognize the leadership and contributions of Dr. Brian McMillan. The bursary supports Adult Education graduates transitioning into post-secondary studies at Holland College and acknowledges resilience, personal growth, and academic commitment.

Eligibility requirement for Brian and Jane McMillan Bursary for Graduates of Adult Education at Holland College:

• Must have been enrolled in the Adult Education program within the last year.
• Must be entering first year of studies in a Holland College program.
• Must demonstrate financial need.
• Must demonstrate interpersonal skills, desire to learn, and a self-directed approach.
• Must show how adversity was overcome in pursuing post-secondary education.
• Must provide a letter of support from an Adult Education instructor.

Value of the scholarship:

A CAD 1,000 is awarded to support a full-time student

Application Process:

• Submit the bursary application before the deadline.
• Upload a reference letter from an Adult Education instructor.
• Submit an essay describing overcoming adversity in completing the Adult Education journey.
• Demonstrate financial need as part of the application.
• Applications are reviewed based on eligibility and supporting documentation.
