Overview:

Funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Education and Training, the Research Training Program (RTP) Stipend supports highly ranked research students with outstanding academic and research potential. The scholarship provides an annual stipend to assist with general living costs.

Eligibility for Australian Government Research Training Program Stipend:

Be enrolled in an accredited HDR program at UTS
Meet UTS admissions criteria for research doctorates or Master by Research degrees
Not receive another award, stipend, or salary exceeding 75% of the RTP stipend (income unrelated to the HDR study is exempt)

Selection Process:

the academic merit of the applicant; and
research potential and relevant experience of the applicant; and
publications record of the applicant; and
relevance of the proposed research to the University's research strengths.
