Eligibility Criteria for the Alice Brown PhD Scholarship at University of Edinburgh 2025:

Be applying for/enrolled in a part-time PhD starting Sept 2025 in:
- African Studies, International Development, International Relations, Politics, STIS, Social Anthropology, Social Policy, Social Work, Sociology, South Asian Studies, and Sustainable Development.
Be a UK national or have a visa that permits part-time study.
Hold a 1st class honours degree or a Master’s with distinction (or equivalent).
Full-time applicants must convert to part-time if selected.

Value of Alice Brown PhD Scholarship at University of Edinburgh 2025:

Full PhD tuition fees (for 6 years, part-time)
Annual stipend of at least £11,977, uplifted annually in line with UKRI increases
Access to PGR Research Support Fund for fieldwork and other research-related costs (subject to eligibility)
