Abraham Polonsky Undergraduate Award in Critical Writing at California State University, Northridge 2025

This award is granted to a CTVA graduating senior with an interest in critical writing. This is a merit-based award.

Eligibility criteria -

The applicant must be a graduating senior.
They must demonstrate an interest in critical writing.
They must also demonstrate good academic standing.

Application process -

Applicants must upload a critical essay on a film topic (no less than 10 pages in length). The essay will be judged on both the substance of the content and the clarity and insightfulness of the argument (MS-Word or PDF).
All applicants for this award MUST also complete the online “Applicant Information Form”.
