Sports Global Excellence Scholarship at University of Gloucestershire 2026

Eligibility for Sports Excellence Scholarship at the University of Gloucestershire:

• The applicant should be classified as an international student.
• Only the program specified in the offer letter is eligible for the scholarship, which will start in September 2026 and cover the following high-performance sports: rugby union, men's basketball, women's soccer, NFL, netball, and women's soccer.
• Applicants cannot have received any other scholarships from the University of Gloucestershire, nor should they have been the recipient of an Undergraduate Merit Scholarship from the institution in the past.  
• The applicant should be self-funded and should not receive any financial help.
• This scholarship is non-transferable.
• US applicants must meet the minimum academic requirements of HSD 3.6 GPA (out of 4.0) for undergraduate study, as well as high test scores on the SAT, SAT subject tests, AP courses, ACT, honors, and college coursework by US admission requirements. For postgraduate study, candidates must obtain a bachelor's degree, a 3.4 GPA (4.0), or a minimum score of 80%. 
• The interview may be required
• Since there is competition for the scholarship, not every applicant will be awarded. 
• The Sports Scholarship Group, which is made up of coaching staff members, will give out scholarships. 
• Candidates must fulfill both the performance and mandatory admission requirements.

Value of the Scholarships:

The scholarship will waive the tuition price for postgraduate students, worth £5,000, and for undergraduate students, worth £7,500.
