• Ghana CGPA 3.0/4.0 or above
• Nigeria CGPA 3/5 or above
• Other member states of the African Union: 2:1 or above or equivalent
• Nationals of African countries will be considered if they have at least a  2:1 degree from a recognized UK university except for the University of Essex or one of the countries: Bangladesh, Canada, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Norway, Pakistan, Russia, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, USA, Vietnam.
• Candidates applying for the University of Essex - Africa Scholarships in UK, 2019 must be classed as 'international' for fee purposes.
• The scholarship is open to nationals of an African nation who are ordinarily resident in an African nation.
• Students must be applying for a full-time Masters course excluding MBA starting in 2019-20.

Value of University of Essex - Africa Scholarships in UK, 2019:

• The successful applicants of the University of Essex - Africa Scholarships in UK, 2019 will receive an award of GBP 4,000 towards of tuition fees.
