Overview

Students may be eligible for a 10% tuition reduction for each year of their course if they have a sibling, spouse, or parent enrolled in or who has completed a full-time course at the University of Leicester.

Eligibility for Family Loyalty Discount at the University of Leicester:

  • Both the student and their family member need to be (or have been) enrolled full-time as foreign students who pay fees.
  • The relative of the student must be enrolled in or have completed a full-time course at the University of Leicester.
  • Siblings may share one or both of their parents.
  • Parents and children may be linked by marriage or blood.
  • The student is required to submit written documentation of the familial relationship (in English), such as a photocopy of their marriage or birth certificate.
  • If the student has already earned a discount or scholarship from the university, they are not eligible to receive the Family Loyalty Discount.
  • If a student marries someone who is enrolled at the university, they will not be eligible for this discount.

Application Process:

  • All eligible candidates must apply at the time of the course registration.
  • The Academic Office will notify the candidates if they are accepted.
  • To apply for a Family Loyalty Discount, the candidates must download and fill out the application form.

Value of the Award:

The successful candidates are awarded a 10% discount on tuition fees per year.

When two or more family members register at the same time, the family discount is split between them, ie. two family members would each receive a 5% discount.
