Students who successfully finish the pre-arrival study skills course will be eligible for a £250 cash stipend from the university, which will help with their transition to higher education.

Eligibility for the Essex Preparation Programme Bursary:

Be applying for an eligible full-time undergraduate course at the University of Essex (Foundation Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Integrated Masters, or Year 0 of an Essex Pathways Degree).
Register for their first year of full-time undergraduate study at the University of Essex in October 2026-27.
Complete the Essex Preparation Programme pre-arrival study skills course by 23:59 (BST) on 13 October 2026.
Receive the completion certificate for the full course.
Be available for promotional activities if requested by the University.

Application Process:

Complete the Essex Preparation Programme online course by 23:59 (BST) on 13 October 2026.
Download the certificate of completion after completing all learning sections and the feedback survey.
Students who meet the criteria will be automatically identified and notified via their Essex email.
Payment will be made in November 2026 via the Essex Aspire Platform.
