Terry Spencer Leadership Scholarship

Established in 2021 by Whiting-Turner Contracting Company in memory of Terry Spencer, Division Vice President and Buffalo native.

Eligibility criteria -

  • The applicant must be an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, or junior accepted into a major in the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
  • Students must write an essay about what it means to be a good leader. Funds will be split between the Fall and Spring semesters.

Award - $4,750

Application process -

  • The applicant must answer the supplemental questions
    • Write an essay about leadership. What does it mean to be a good leader? Your essay should be a maximum of 2000. Upload as a docx or pdf file.
    • I certify that the essay I submitted is my own work and that it was written specifically for this scholarship
