This Ophthalmology Prize at University College Cork 2026

Introduction:

This Ophthalmology Prize is awarded by the UCC School of Medicine to the Graduate Entry Medicine Year 3 or Direct Entry Medicine Year 4 student who demonstrates the best performance in the ophthalmology component of the Fundamentals of Adult Disease module.

Eligibility criteria for the Ophthalmology Prize at University College Cork:

• The applicants must be current UCC students.
• The applicants must be enrolled in Graduate Entry Medicine Year 3 or Direct Entry Medicine Year 4.
• The applicant's selection is based on performance in the ophthalmology component of the Fundamentals of Adult Disease module.

Application Process:

• No application required. The prize is awarded automatically based on academic performance

Value of the Scholarship:

• A pocket ophthalmoscope is awarded to support a full-time student.
