About this scholarship
This scholarship was established by Professor Sue Golding in 2018. Professor Golding is a treasured staff member and an alumnus of The University of Queensland. Throughout the 1970s she worked in resource exploration and production in Australia and South Africa. Sue played a major role in development and management of isotope geochemistry facilities in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, and this prize was established to recognize and reward excellence in a peer reviewed paper authored by a student.

You’re eligible if you’re enrolled in one of the following programs:
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) (Geological Sciences or Earth Sciences)
- Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) (Geological Sciences or Earth Sciences)
- Graduate Certificate in Mineral Resources
- Graduate Diploma in Mineral Resources
- Master of Mineral Resources
- Master of Philosophy
- Doctor of Philosophy
- Non-SEES enrolled students enrolled in Master or Doctor of Philosophy programs with relevance to geochemistry are eligible for this prize.
