The Peter Dempsey Award in Applied Psychology at University College Cork 2026

Introduction 

The Peter Dempsey Award in Applied Psychology was established in recognition of Rev. Professor Peter Dempsey, OFM, Cap., who was the first Professor of Applied Psychology at University College Cork

Eligibility requirements for the Peter Dempsey Award in Applied Psychology at the University College Cork:

• The applicants must be current UCC students.
• The award is open to students pursuing the final year of the honors program for the BA (Hons) or BSc (Hons) degree examinations or the higher diploma in psychology.
• The applicants must have passed all previous examinations in the relevant college/faculty within the minimum time.
• The applications are open to the students of all nationalities.

Application Process:

• There is no separate application required; the students are considered automatically.

Value of the Scholarship:

• A EUR 1,000 is awarded to support a full-time student.
