The Brian Dillon Memorial Prize at University College Cork 2026

Introduction 

The Brian Dillon Memorial Prize is an annual award administered by the School of Law at University College Cork (UCC). Established in the academic year 2012/2013, the prize recognizes outstanding performance in criminal law and honors the memory of Brian Dillon.

Eligibility requirements for the Brian Dillon Memorial Prize at University College Cork:

• Applicants must be current UCC students.
• The award is presented to the undergraduate student who obtains the highest mark in Criminal Law on their first attempt.
• The recipient must achieve a First-Class Honors (1H) standard to qualify for the prize.
• There is no country restriction; the application is open to all nationalities.

Application Process:

• There is no specific application required; the eligible students are automatically considered 

Value of the Scholarship:

• The prize is worth EUR 250, which covers the cost of the printed scroll and engraved medal
