The Aoife O Connell Memorial Prize at University College Cork 2026

Introduction 

The Aoife O’Connell Memorial Prize was established in memory of Aoife O’Connell, a third-year BA Economics student at University College Cork (UCC), who tragically passed away in 2019 while on her year abroad. The prize supports students in the BSc Applied Economics programme who wish to undertake their third year abroad

Eligibility requirements for the Aoife O’Connell Memorial Prize at University College Cork:

• The applicants must be current UCC students.
• The applicants must be second-year students enrolled in the BSc Applied Economics program.
• The applicants must intend to spend their third year studying abroad.
• There is no country restriction: the application is open to all nationalities.

Application Process:

• The applicants must submit an application and apply through the admin portal of the university.

Value of the Scholarship:

• The scholarship provides EUR 3,000 for a full-time student.
