About the scholarship:
Based on academic achievement, this fellowship is given to a first-year doctoral or master's degree candidate in philosophy who is conducting research at the University of Melbourne's School of Physics.
Eligibility for Robert D Hill Scholarship:
- The applicant should be a first-year student conducting research at the School of Physics for their Doctorate or Master of Philosophy in Science degree.
- The Lyn McDowell Scholarship and the Goldsworthy Scholarship in Physics cannot be awarded concurrently with this one.
Selection criteria
The scholarship score will determine the order of eligible candidates. Candidates conducting research in particle, molecular, nuclear, or plasma physics will be given preference.

Each year's Robert D. Hill Scholarship awards will differ in amount and quantity. It ranges from AUD 1,000 to AUD 5,000 this year.
