Overview:

Established in memory of Dr. Bartley, a prominent Lakehead University pioneer who during his life was awarded the title to Honorary Professor of Geology, Fellow of the University and Lakehead University’s Principal Emeritus. Awarded to a Geology major in any year on the basis of financial need and minimum B standing.

Eligibility for Dr Melville Bartley Alumni Memorial Bursary:

Must be an in-course student enrolled in the Geology program at Lakehead University, in any year of study
Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the university’s bursary or awards process
Must maintain a minimum B academic standing in Geology courses
Strong preference may be given to students who have shown active participation in departmental research, fieldwork, or related academic projects.
