Philosophy Graduate Student Tuition and Fee Scholarship for Fall Applicants at San Francisco State University 2025

The Philosophy Graduate Student Tuition and Fee Scholarship for Fall Applicants is for students enrolling half-time (4 units graduate) during the 2024-2025 academic year and supports students' educational advancement by awarding money to eligible graduate students starting San Francisco State’s philosophy program.

Eligibility criteria:

• Open to all nationals
• Students must enroll half-time (4 graduate units) to be eligible.
• Applicants must enroll in an M.A. program majoring in Philosophy for the upcoming fall semester.
• Must have a GPA of 3.0 

Value: up to $2,000

Application requirements: 

• Submit a letter of recommendation, unofficial transcripts from previous degrees, a writing sample (such as a class paper), and a two-page statement of purpose on Cal State Apply, detailing your interest in philosophy and future study plans.
• On Academic Works, explain how the scholarship will benefit you and provide any additional relevant information

Note that if you have a State University Grant, the Philosophy scholarship may be awarded over two years. You must be enrolled in at least six units each semester to receive it over four semesters.
