Applicants must be emerging or talented Australian rugby union players.
Applicants must have completed their high school studies in the relevant application year (e.g., 2025 for 2027 entry).
Applicants must be committed to representing the Melbourne University Rugby Football Club.
Applicants must be planning to enrol at the University of Melbourne.

Value of Rugby Young Achiever:

The main award includes a total scholarship package of $5,000 (split as $2,500 university scholarship + $2,500 rugby scholarship), plus Elite Athlete Program support services. Runners-up may receive a $1,500 Peter Hone Rugby Scholarship plus support services.
