Nancy E. Mitchell Endowed Scholarship in Communication Studies

Dr. Nancy Mitchell was an Emeritus Associate Dean of the College of the Arts and Emeritus Professor of the College of Communication and Information. She valued her friendships at KSU, her Kent community, and rescue animals.

Eligibility criteria -

• The applicant must be pursuing a Communication Studies major.
• They must be an undergraduate student at the Kent campus. 
• They must obtain an overall GPA of 3.0 and in Major GPA of 3.25
• They must be Junior or Senior standing. 21 major coursework hours completed.

Application process -

• The applicant must surpass all the additional requirements the University sets for admission.
• Active service involvement with at least two letters of support from authoritative sources documenting leadership contributions.

Note - Preference given to students with need.
