About the Scholarship:
Established in 1963 by a gift of £10,000 from Mr. B.J. Thiess as a memorial to his son Kenneth A. Thiess, a young Civil Engineering graduate of this University, who was accidentally killed while carrying out the duties of an engineer with the Snowy Mountains Hydroelectric Authority.
Eligibility for the Kenneth A. Thiess Prize:
- Applicants should be graduating in Semester 2 2023 or Semester 1 2024.
- Candidates must be enrolled full-time in one of the following Approved Programs:

- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/ Master of Engineering
- A dual engineering program
- Candidates should be studying in any field of the civil engineering discipline.
