Indigenous Education Costs Scholarship at University of Technology Sydney 2026

Overview:

To provide Indigenous students with financial assistance towards their education costs to support thier academic success.

Eligibility for Indigenous Education Costs Scholarship UTS:

• Must be of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, providing either Confirmation of Aboriginality or a UTS Statutory Declaration with two community references.
• Enrolled or intending to enrol in an eligible course: undergraduate, postgraduate, or Jumbunna UniStart.
• Not receiving conflicting Commonwealth funding.
• Must demonstrate financial disadvantage via UAC Equity Scholarship or UTS Financial Assistance assessment.

Selection Process:

• Recipients are selected based on meeting the eligibility criteria.
• Applicants that meet the eligibility criteria are not guaranteed a Scholarship as the number available is based on Commonwealth funding available to UTS each year.
• For undergraduate students, preference is given to students commencing, or enrolled in, their first undergraduate course.
• Continuing students that have not maintained a minimum pass average (minimum WAM 50) in the previous session may not be considered for the Scholarship.
