Gordon Paul Castles Scholarship at University of Melbourne 2026

This scholarship is for domestic graduate research students in the Melbourne Medical School. It was established with a bequest from the late Gordon Paul Castles, BDSc 1944.

Eligibility for the Gordon Paul Castles Scholarship:

Applicants must:

• Be domestic students (Australian citizens or permanent residents).
• Be enrolled in, or applying for, a graduate research degree at the Melbourne Medical School.
• Meet the Faculty's entry requirements for a PhD.
• Demonstrate academic merit, skill in the relevant research area, and career aspiration.
• Continuing students must reapply annually by 31 October to maintain funding.

Value of the Gordon Paul Castles Scholarship:

This scholarship provides a fortnightly allowance of approximately $6000 per year (pro rata) for up to 1 year.
