The Gene J. Bertoncini Music Annual Scholarship was established in honor of William Paterson faculty member Gene J. Bertoncini, “The Segovia of Jazz,” for a full-time undergraduate or graduate student who is majoring in music education, jazz studies, or music performance.
Eligibility Criteria for the Gene J. Bertoncini Music Annual Scholarship:
- Applicants can be of any nationality.
- Applicants can be either undergraduates or graduates, majoring in Music.
- Applicants must have a minimum cumulative grade point average 3.0.
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need (not necessarily as defined by the federal government).
