The Edward A. Thompson Endowed Scholarship was established by Emma Thompson in memory of Edward A. Thompson ’78 for a full-time or part-time undergraduate student.
Eligibility Criteria for the Edward A. Thompson Endowed Scholarship:
- Applicants can be of any nationality.
- Applicants can be either full-time or part-time undergraduate students who demonstrate outstanding talent in jazz performances.
- Applicants must also demonstrate academic promise with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.20.
- Applicants must maintain continuous enrollment, and demonstrate financial need (not necessarily as defined by the federal government).

The recipient of this scholarship is selected by the Department of Music.
