Ed Babineau Leadership and Community Involvement Award at Holland College 2026

Introduction: 

The Ed Babineau Leadership and Community Involvement Award is funded through proceeds from the Holland College Golf Classic and honours the leadership and legacy of Ed Babineau, a long-time supporter and Honorary Co-Chair of the event. The award recognizes students who demonstrate strong leadership, community involvement, and high potential in their chosen field of study.

Eligibility requirement for Ed Babineau Leadership and Community Involvement Award at Holland College:

• Be entering their first year of studies in a Holland College program.
• Demonstrate strong leadership experience through:
  • Athletics,
  • Extracurricular activities,
  • Community involvement, and/or
  • Volunteer work.]
• Submit a short essay describing their leadership roles and contributions.
• Demonstrate a high aptitude in their chosen area of study.
• Be enrolled in any program at Holland College (all programs eligible).

Value of the scholarship:

A CAD 5,000 is awarded to support a full-time student

Application Process:

• Apply for admission to a Holland College program.
• Access the Holland College awards application portal.
• Complete the scholarship application before the deadline (April 2, 2026).
• Upload a short essay describing your leadership experiences in:
  • School,
  • Athletics,
  • Community activities, and/or
  • Volunteer work.
• Provide details of extracurricular involvement, including:
  • Organization/activity name,
  • Dates involved,
  • Leadership roles,
  • Description of responsibilities.
• Submit all required materials before the deadline.
