Introduction:

The Dr. Trevor Jain Leadership Award in Paramedicine recognizes students entering paramedicine programs who demonstrate leadership potential and a commitment to emergency and disaster response. The award particularly encourages applicants with experience in the Canadian Armed Forces and/or an interest in disaster medicine.

Eligibility requirement for Dr. Trevor Jain Leadership Award in Paramedicine at Holland College:

Be entering one of the following programs:
- Primary Care Paramedicine
- Advanced Care Paramedicine
Submit a written statement addressing:
- Their experience in the Canadian Armed Forces and/or
- Their interest in disaster medicine.

Value of the scholarship:

A CAD 1,000 is awarded to support a full-time student

Application Process:

Apply for admission to either the Primary Care Paramedicine or Advanced Care Paramedicine program.
Complete the scholarship application before the deadline (April 2, 2026).
Submit a write-up describing:
- Any experience in the Canadian Armed Forces, and/or
- Your interest in working in disaster medicine.
