Dorothy Sohn Endowed Scholarship at William Paterson University 2026

The Dorothy Sohn Endowed Scholarship was created by the Sohn/Pedroza family in memory of Dorothy Sohn, who pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a nurse by starting college at age fifty and remained passionate about learning throughout her life.

Eligibility Criteria for the Dorothy Sohn Endowed Scholarship:

Applicants must:

• Be a full-time or part-time undergraduate student.
• Be majoring in Nursing.
• Demonstrate financial need (not necessarily as defined by the federal government).
• Preference is given to a non-traditional-age female student; if no non-traditional female nursing student is eligible, then the preferred recipient can be enrolled in the College of Science and Health, with preference given to a non-traditional-age female.
