Brian Mullins Ambassador Award for Gaelic Games at University College Dublin
The Brian Mullins Ambassador Award for Gaelic Games, established by University College Dublin in memory of Gaelic football legend Brian Mullins, supports students in pursuing academic goals at UCD while promoting cultural exchange and Gaelic games between the USA and Ireland. The award is administered by UCD Sport with support from UCD Global.
Eligibility Criteria of Brian Mullins Ambassador Award for Gaelic Games:
- Open to full-degree undergraduate and master’s applicants residing in the United States who are classified as non-EU for tuition purposes and hold an offer or conditional offer from UCD.
- Applicants must have recent active involvement in a USGAA, NYGAA, LGFA, Camogie, or Handball club.
- Applicants should demonstrate strong leadership skills and a passion for Gaelic Games.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated involvement and achievements in Gaelic Games, along with the potential to represent UCD as a Gaelic Games Global Ambassador.
- Quality, clarity, and content of the personal statement.
Application Process:
- Applications will be evaluated by a selection committee comprising representatives from UCD Global and UCD Sport.
- Final decisions will be communicated to all applicants within four weeks of the application deadline.
Award: Up to EUR 5,000 stipend, paid in installments.
Note:
- Only full-time, full-degree programmes based in Dublin are eligible (not online).
- Non-degree students, including those pursuing graduate diplomas or certificates, are not eligible.
