Department of History Claudius O. & Mary W. Johnson Graduate Fellowship at Washington State University 2025

Eligibility Criteria for the Claudius O. & Mary W. Johnson Graduate Fellowship:

• The application is open to all nationals.
• The applicants must be graduate students.
• The fellowship is awarded to students pursuing graduate course in history.

Selection Process:

The recipient of this fellowship is chosen annually by the Department of History in partnership with the Director of the Foley Institute.

Application Process:

• History students may apply for scholarships, fellowships, and awards by completing an electronic application for the College of Arts and Sciences.
• The application opens at the beginning of September each year and must be submitted no later than January 31 for the following fall semester.
• Students who complete the WSU General Scholarship Application are automatically considered for all scholarships in CAS, including department, school, and academic program scholarships.

Benefit of the Fellowship:

It provides for graduate fellowships in history while simultaneously offering additional exposure to programs  sponsored through the Foley Institute.
