This scholarship is awarded to high-achieving students who enter into the Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) or the Bachelor of Economics (Honours) course.

Eligibility for the Department of Economics Honours Merit Scholarship:

Be commencing full‑time students enrolling in either:
- Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) with Economics or jointly Economics & Econometrics, OR
- Bachelor of Economics (Honours) at Monash University’s Clayton campus.
Demonstrate academic excellence (selection is based on academic achievement).
Meet the honours level requirements of their chosen honours programme.

Value of the Department of Economics Honours Merit Scholarship:

Up to AUD $10,000 is awarded for one year only.

Application Process:

No separate application is required.
Students are automatically considered when they apply for admission to the relevant honours programmes and based on previous study results.
