Cowrie Foundation Scholarship at SOAS University of London 

The Cowrie Foundation Scholarship at SOAS University of London is fully funded, specifically for Black African and Caribbean heritage UK students from socio-economically under-represented backgrounds commencing an undergraduate degree.

Eligibility Criteria of Cowrie Foundation Scholarship:

1. Applicants must have Home fee status, belong to one of the eligible Black or Mixed Black ethnic groups, and be new entrants starting an undergraduate degree in the 2026/27 academic year.
2. They must also come from households with an income of £25,000 or less and apply for an income assessment through their regional Student Finance authority.
3. Applicants must give consent for Student Finance to share their financial information with SOAS for eligibility verification.

Application Process: 

1. Applicants must first apply for their chosen undergraduate program at SOAS through UCAS; an offer isn’t required by the scholarship deadline, but must be secured before the selection panel meets.
2. Applicants must then submit the separate scholarship application form before the deadline to be considered.

Award: Tuition fees and stipend of up to GBP 10,000.
