Eligibility Criteria for the Albert W. Thompson Education Abroad Scholarship:

The applicants must:

  • Be of any nationality.
  • Be undergraduate study abroad students (foreign language major/minor not required).
  • Have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • Be full-time regularly enrolled WSU student in good standing.
  • Be in a certified SLCR major, or declared intent to pursue an SLCR program.

  • This scholarship is awarded by nomination of advisor or department chair. 
  • Students can apply through the Office of International Programs Study Abroad Scholarships.

Award Requirements:

  • The recipients must write a thank you letter to the donor(s).
  • The recipients must be enrolled full-time at WSU and in good standing when funds are awarded.
