Eligibility Criteria for the Chappell and White PhD Scholarship at ANU 2026:

Applicants must:

Be domestic or international students.
Be enrolling or enrolled full-time in a PhD program in Earth Sciences at ANU, focusing on petrology and ore petrology.
Hold a Bachelor’s degree with first-class honours, or a Master’s degree with a research component (or equivalent) from a recognised university.

Value of the Chappell and White PhD Scholarship at ANU 2026:

Stipend: AUD 34,000 per year for 3 years (paid fortnightly)
Additional benefits may include:
- Travel and Removal allowances for students relocating to Canberra to commence their research program;
- Thesis reimbursement;
- Dependant Child allowance (International students only);
- Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) (International Students Only); and
- Paid medical, maternity and parental leave.
