Introduction:

The Asylum Seeker Opportunity Award provides a financial support to asylum seekers and children of the asylum seekers who wish to study at Cardiff University

Eligibility criteria for the Asylum Seeker Opportunity Award at Cardiff University:

The applicant must be a person seeking asylum in the UK or a child of a person seeking asylum in the UK.
Applicants must meet the academic program requirements.
The applicant must be in an undergraduate or postgraduate taught course excluding medicine, dentistry, and NHS-funded courses.

Value of the Scholarship:

There are different types of financial support provided:

GBP 4,000 grant per year for asylum seekers receiving the Home Office allowance (for course and travel costs).
GBP 12,590 grant per year for asylum seekers not receiving the Home Office allowance (for living, course, and travel costs).
