Arnold Lillie Prize in Geology at University of Auckland 2026

Description:

This Prize was established by subscriptions from past and present students and staff of the Geology Department at Auckland University, as well as from other professional colleagues, as a tribute to Professor A. R. Lillie upon the occasion of his retirement after holding the Chair in Geology at Auckland from 1951 to 1974.

Eligibility for the Arnold Lillie Prize in Geology:

Applicants must:

• Be a University of Auckland student (undergraduate or graduate).
• Have written the most meritorious report, thesis, or course-based work involving geological field work in the preceding year.

Value of the Arnold Lillie Prize in Geology:

The value of the Prize will be $600 and it will be awarded together with one appropriately inscribed bookplate.

Application process:

No separate application is necessary. All eligible applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
