Samit & Reshma Sharma Excellence Award in Industrial Technology & Trades at Holland College 2026

Introduction: 

The Samit & Reshma Sharma Excellence Award in Industrial Technology & Trades recognizes students in the Industrial Trades and Technologies department who have demonstrated excellence in their first year of study. The award recognizes students entering their second year who have demonstrated a compelling combination of academic leadership, financial need, volunteerism, peer collaboration and personal growth.

Eligibility requirements for Samit & Reshma Sharma Excellence Award in Industrial Technology & Trades at Holland College:

• Must be entering second year of one of the eligible programs.
• Must have completed first-year studies in:
  • Automotive Technology
  • Electromechanical Technology
  • Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technology
  • Industrial Electrical Technology
  • Welding Fabrication
• Must demonstrate excellence in academic performance, leadership, financial need, volunteerism, peer collaboration, and personal development.

Value of the scholarship:

A CAD 2,400 grant is awarded to a full-time student.

Application Process:

• Students must be nominated by staff or faculty from the Industrial Trades and Technologies department.
• Nominations must outline the student’s achievements in academics, leadership, financial need, volunteerism, peer collaboration, and personal growth.
• Nominations must be submitted before the 31 March 2027 deadline.
