Woeppel Research Initiative in Mathematics
The Woeppel Research Initiative in Mathematics was established in 2014 by Dr. James J. Woeppel (BA ’65) to support undergraduate students pursuing advanced research in Mathematics. This initiative encourages hands-on research experience and the development of strong scientific and mathematical writing skills.
Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be a junior or senior undergraduate student
- Be majoring in Mathematics within the College of Arts & Sciences
- Demonstrate a strong interest in mathematical research
- Submit a research proposal outlining planned summer research activities
- Show willingness to engage in scientific/mathematical writing
- Commit to sharing research findings and/or experiences
