UQ Sport Scholarship Ambassador Program 2023 is offered to provide high-performance support services to professional and/or elite athletes who are ineligible for other scholarships on offer.
Eligibility:
Scholarships are open to athletes who:
- have represented at an open, national, or international level in their chosen sport; or
- play in a professional sporting league and
- are enrolled, or intend to enroll, in a University of Queensland program (undergraduate or postgraduate) on a part-time or full-time basis.
- Preference will be given to students who are members of, or intend to join, a UQ sporting club.
- Athletes who hold another UQ sporting scholarship are ineligible to apply.
Value of the scholarship:
The UQ Sport Scholarship Ambassador Program 2023 is valued at AUD 1,500 in support services per athlete per year. The scholarships will be awarded annually by the UQ Sport Academy upon recommendation from the selection committee. The selection committee will determine the number of scholarships available each year.
